Kathi Stimson, Substitute Teacher
Kathi has felt a strong connection to nature. From a very young age, she enjoyed exploring the fields, woods, and streams near her home. As she grew into adulthood and eventually went to college, Kathi knew she wanted to combine her work with children and her personal passions for the natural world, farming, and sustainability.
In 2013 Kathi began her academic journey in early childhood education, and received her Associate’s degree and preschool teaching certificate at Quinsigamond Community College. Then in 2017, Kathie continued on to get her Bachelors degree in Sustainability at Goddard College in hopes of realizing her dream of becoming a nature-based preschool teacher.
Over the last several years, Kathi has put her talents to work in various positions, including traditional childcare and at the Waldorf School Of Lexington.
She is excited to join BOPN for the 24–25 school year and can’t wait to see what nature treasures lie around each corner!
