Charlotte Olson, Teacher

Charlotte grew up immersed in the natural beauty of New England, spending her childhood hiking, skiing, and camping with her family.

Charlotte’s travels have taken her from the ancient forests and rugged coastline of Ireland, to the crystal-clear glacial lakes of Montana, and the vibrant canyons of the American Southwest—deepening her love for diverse landscapes and her commitment to protecting the planet.

Charlotte earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Natural Resource Conservation from UMass Amherst, and a Master’s in Geography with a concentration in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST). Her passion for environmental education and outdoor service led her to AmeriCorps NCCC, where she worked on trail restoration and disaster relief while organizing service-learning initiatives.

Charlotte’s enthusiasm for nature-based learning has been nurtured through her experience teaching and caring for children as a babysitter, camp leader, and volunteer. She finds joy in inspiring curiosity and wonder about the natural world and believes fostering a connection to nature is key to creating resilient, environmentally conscious communities. She is excited to bring her experience and passion to BOPN as an Assistant Teacher at the Wolbach Farm location.
