Shannon became interested in teaching children outdoors after taking an environmental class that touched on the numerous benefits for children’s growth and development.
Shannon Sousa is currently a junior at Stonehill College majoring in Sociology and Philosophy while minoring in Creative Writing and Gender Studies. Shannon has always had a passion for working with children and educating others. She became interested in teaching children outdoors after taking an environmental class that touched on the numerous benefits for children’s growth and development. For her career, Shannon would like to become a sociologist involved in field work and inevitably get her doctorate to be a professor. In her spare time, she is learning how to rock climb and enjoys trips to the beach and listening to music!
