Sasha Coelho, Toddler Connections Teacher

Growing up in New England, Sasha has always had a great love for the changing of seasons. It wasn’t until she had children of her own that she truly realized how magical and deeply entwined the changing seasons are with childhood in this area.

Leaf rubbings and trees in Fall’s palette; breathing out winter smoke rings, snowpeople and sledding; mud and worms; flower crowns, shapely clouds, and sandcastles.

Sasha began teaching over 15 years ago, in a variety of settings with different age groups. She taught mostly at community art centers- paint, sculpture, collage, clay. The 5-year-olds quickly became her favorite class.

She switched to early childhood education—as a mother herself finding that young children have so much to teach us when we choose to listen. What she loves most about children is their unbridled imagination, carefree sense of humor and innocent wisdom.

In her spare time, she enjoys doing projects or going on adventures with her children, yoga and curling up with a good book or show to watch.
