Jessica Jaro, Substitute Teacher

Jessica believes that all children need the opportunity to spend an extended amount of time following their curiosities and making connections to the outdoors.

Jessica was born and raised in the metro south of Boston and has spent over 10 years working with children and families in various environments. She holds a degree in Early Education from UMass Boston.

Jessica has a passion for providing high quality child-led early education to diverse learners. She deeply values the grounding aspect of being immersed in nature and believes that all children need the opportunity to have an extended amount of time following their curiosities and making connections to the outdoors. This is Jessica's first time at a nature-based program, and she's excited to join an organization that holds similar values!

In her personal time, Jessica enjoys swimming, surfing, and scuba diving—which calls to her love for the ocean.

She also enjoys finding community through dancing, participating in public art programming, training in Eskrima (Filipino martial arts), traveling, and finding a nature trail she hasn't walked before!
