Financial Aid & Income-Based Tuition Awards
Boston Outdoor Preschool Network is committed to providing meaningful nature education to all children, regardless of family income. Anyone who can demonstrate full or partial need is welcome and encouraged to apply.
We allocate a percentage of scholarship dollars to each of our programs on an annual basis. Available funds for high-demand programs are awarded quickly, and in order of approved request. For this reason, we recommend applying for aid as early as possible, particularly for full day programs or full week enrollments.
Aid assistance can be given in the form of tuition reduction, modified deposit payment schedule, or fee adjustments and waivers. We do consider hardships such as ongoing medical services, unemployment, or other extenuating circumstances and encourage you to include these on your application.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the financial aid application process. We look forward to helping families make an arrangement that will enable full participation in Boston Outdoor Preschool Network.
Additional Fees & Outdoor Gear
A fee of $65 is due when submitting an Admissions Application for school year programs. Pending placement, families enrolling in BOPN for the first time only will incur a fee of $150 for any School Year program or $30 for any Summer program.
All students attending our Milton—Forbes House Museum location are required to purchase a Student/Senior membership. We encourage the purchase of a Family Membership if possible, as you will surely enjoy the many events held there throughout the year! Memberships can be purchased here.
All students attending our Milton—Eustis Estate location are required to purchase a membership to Historic New England at the Dual level. This provides unlimited free admission to all Historic New England sites for 2 adults, plus children or grandchildren, and many extra perks! Find more information, and purchase Memberships here.
Late tuition payments will incur a fee of $100 for the first occurrence, and $200 subsequently. We encourage families anticipating temporary financial pressure to reach out early, so that we can proactively discuss payment arrangements.
A fee of $25 will be charged for each late pickup.
Families are responsible for equipping their child with proper outdoor attire and gear. We will provide lists of required and recommended gear, along with suggested places to find it—both new and used!
If the payment of fees or the cost of gear creates a hardship on your family, please apply for Financial Aid. We may be able to help with non-tuition expenses.
